Most of us know the physical hazards of caving, but there are interpersonal hazards in caving that we need to be willing to talk about. The presentation will cover:
- the scope and severity of sexual violence in caving, including stories from across the U.S. caving community
- facts vs. myths about sexual violence, addressing real myths that have come up in responses to code of conduct complaints
- what audience members can do right now to help address the problem, including the basics of bystander intervention, survivor support, and setting commuity norms.
